I've "moved"

As you can tell, I'm not so good about keeping up with the blog. It was really something I did when we were in Europe to keep family (and friends) posted. Posting is just not a priority for me, with our Church commitments, time with Chris, family time, homeschooling, (now) T-ball (which means practice once a week, and 2 games a week!), keeping up with the housework, and working my Mary Kay business. I am now on Facebook, which is where I am able to "post" just a short snipet at a time, and keep some pictures up (which I have yet to do, but I will) to keep you all up to speed, and to stay updated on my friends and family. So, if you're on Facebook and haven't yet added me as your friend, send your request my way and we'll keep in touch that way. I still love reading all of yours and hope we can still keep you up to date through my (and Chris has one too) Facebook.
Good-bye!

Summertime?

Wow! Is summer already almost over? I don't mean the season (obviously it's still "Summer"), but the time. It seems like just the other day we were all talking about all of the BBQs, trips to the pool, playdates, and outings we were going to do. I can't believe how little time we all really had for that! And now all of the little kids are getting ready to start school. As for us, we have already started, as we are homeschooling Caden for kindergarten this year (and Caleb a little, although he will still be attending a preschool 2 days a week). But, more to come on that.
After our 4th of July trip to southern New Mexico, we spent most of our time swimming in our little inflatable pool. Caden swims back and forth, and dives under, and even does flips. Caleb has started going under, and literally goes under over and over and over again.
At then end of June my Mary Kay team leader finished her qualification and became a director. That was a big accomplishment for her and her team.
We spent a day in the mountains a few weeks ago. The boys enjoyed having a picnic lunch and exploring on a trail. We saw a family coming out that had spotted a bear and her cubs. We were lucky enough (or, unlucky if you ask the boys!) to miss them. We also went up to the crest and got a great view of the city.
At the end of July I went to Dallas for the huge end of (Mary Kay) year awards, recognition and training. It was absolutely amazing! The Godly women who spoke, the fabulous company we are associated with, the wonderful training, and of course the free stuff and prizes, were just the tip of the iceberg. I came away with such focus, purpose, clarity, vision and dreams for my team, my family and myself through my business. I am working diligently this month to add 4 new women to my team so I can submit to go into qualification to become a director by the end of November. And, in the process, I will earn my car-a beautiful charcoal gray Chevy Malibu. I am so excited!
Once back, I have also started homeschooling Caden. We have started a little slowly, but will ramp up in the next few weeks. After much prayerful thought and consideration, we feel that this is what God wants for Caden and our family. And, Caleb will benefit as well. We have joined a homeschool co-op through our church (there are over 87 students!). More on what that all entails as it gets going, but I will say that we will be very busy with other kids and moms! So far the boys are loving it, and Caden is doing well with me. So, keep us in your prayers. Caden will also be starting t-ball soon, and, depending on what our schedule allows, we may get Caleb involved in "Itty Bitty Sports" though the YMCA. We'll keep you posted.
So, good-bye summer as we know it, and hello to many new adventures!
